Turrialba Volcano National ParkRegion: Central Similar to Irazu volcano, due to look and proximity, Turrialba has hiking trails offering views of the lava flows that once ran down the volcano. The last major eruption took place in 1866 even though there is still fumarolic activity at the highest peak. The summit offers views of the Atlantic and other neighboring volcanos: Brava, Poas & Irazu.
