Piedras Blancas National Park

Location: Puntarenas Province, South Pacific Costa Rica, entrance through the town of La Gamba.
Size: 34,642 acres
National Park since: July 17, 1991

Facilities:


Come for the animals. Kinkajou, jaguar, coati, olingo, tayra, grison, monkeys and bats are just a few. Located in Golfito Piedras Blancas is an important natural reserve and wildlife refuge.


The park is home to evergreen primary forest, beautful waterfalls, rivers, beaches and coral reefs. Abundant with fauna and flora, it offers one of the best opportunities for bird watching.
