Costa Rica - North PacificIn the north pacific regon of Costa Rica you'll find Liberia which is the capital of Guanacaste Province. Liberia is a growing city now with it's own international airport. However, it is often overlooked by tourists. The colonial style town is build amongst many ranches and farms. There are a number of nice hotels and restaurants. Liberia is pleasant get away. The town of Puntarenas came to life as Costs Rica's premier deep-sea port dating back to 1522 when the Spanish arrived. Puntarenas was a major port for exporting coffee to Europe.
