Oh-so comfortable and convenient. Shuttles are one of the most popular forms of transportation in Costa Rica. There are several regular routes (like buses) from the larger cities to some of Costa Rica's major attractions. But you can also hire a private shuttle and the driver will take you wherever you want to go. Depending on the distance and number of travelers the cost can be quite reasonable. Many companies offer shuttle service in Costa Rica. Some are big tourist enterprises, like Gray Line Costa Rica and Interbus. Others are smaller locally run businesses like Transport Costa Rica and Costa Rica Shuttle Service. Contact them for information about routes and schedules. Want a deal? Especially during the low season (May – October) you are likely to find some great shuttle rates. Don't hesitate to consider a smaller professional company. While it is impossible to guarantee the service of any company, the culture of the Costa Rican people tends to make them reliable for work commitments.
