Cariari is Costa Rica's first and most famous golf course, built on an old San Jose coffee plantation in 1944 and later designed by George Fazio as a private club. It has been the site of large golfing events and hosted many renowned players, including Chi-Chi Rodriquez, Tom Weiskof, Larry Ziegler, Raymond Floyd, Peter Jacobsen, David Graham, and Curtis Strange. This challenging Central Costa Rica course boasts incredible tree-lined fairways that only a few privileged players will ever experience.
